Job Requirements

High school education preferred but not required
successful completion of an apprenticeship or training program or equivalent combination of education and experience
ability to perform arithmetical calculations at the tenth-grade level
ability to hear, speak and understand spoken word
ability to read, write and understand English
ability to compose reports and correspondence
ability to solve practical problems
be knowledgeable of meat cuts and products
pass a standard drug test
perform duties efficiently meeting productivity, accuracy, cleanliness and safety standards
able to lift up to 55 pounds
able to work in refrigerated and frozen environments
able to tolerate moderate dust and chemical fumes
able to work in an environment with fruits, vegetables and flowers without allergic reaction

Job Duties

Wrap, package and price-mark meat and related products as prescribed by department standards
price-mark and stock meat deli area as assigned
