Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand or walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
- Must have hand dexterity for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Must be able to perform motions such as bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work in temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Able to work in wet and cold environments
- Ability to handle knives and cutting equipment safely
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to use tools and equipment such as box cutters and electric pallet jacks
Job Qualifications
- Ability to sell proactively
- Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in department
- Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness
- Ability to read labels and familiarize oneself on various products
- Assist with periodic inventory checks
- Ability to deliver information clearly and respectfully to team members, customers and vendors
- Ability to meet customer service expectations in all interactions
- Ability to follow directions and procedures

Job Duties
- Ensure a fresh and appealing meat display by checking quality, stocking, rotating and removing out-of-date products
- Maintain back stock in good order
- Assist with sampling program by keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing
- Clean cases, glass, signs, coolers, smokers, floors and drains as required
- Arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed and ready to work
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer needs, suggestive selling and answering phones
- Maximize sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking and merchandising product
- Follow and ensure compliance with health, sanitation and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- Perform opening, mid and closing duties as assigned and ensure accuracy of signs and pricing
- Immediately report safety hazards and violations
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
