The Meat Department Team Member position is an entry-level role that plays a pivotal part in ensuring excellent customer experiences and maintaining the department's standards. Team Members in this position are responsible for adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures, health and safety requirements, and upholding the store’s core values and goals. They also contribute to store programs and initiatives on national, regional, and local levels.

Team Members must be able to handle cutting equipment safely and manage physical aspects such as lifting and standing for extended periods. Whole Foods Market offers competitive hourly wages ranging between $19.50 and $25.40, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package known as "Whole Benefits." Job Requirements
- No prior retail experience required
- must be able to lift 50 pounds
- ability to stand and walk 6-8 hours per workday
- hand use including grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- able to bend, twist, squat, and reach
- exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals
- able to work in temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- capable of working in wet and cold environments
- able to handle knives and cutting equipment safely
- flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- able to use tools such as box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery

Job Duties
- Ensures fresh and appealing product displays by checking quality, cleaning, stocking and rotating products
- maintains back stock in good order
- assists with sampling programs, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing
- cleans department cases, equipment, and floors as required
- arrives to work on time, appropriately groomed and ready to work
- provides excellent customer service and addresses customer needs promptly
- maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, and merchandising
- follows health, safety, and sanitation procedures
- maintains a clean and sanitary working environment
- performs opening, mid, and closing duties including pricing accuracy
- reports safety hazards immediately
- performs other duties as assigned
