Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred
  • Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred
  • Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred
  • Ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds frequently and more than 30 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to work in indoor environments with occasional exposure to temperature extremes and cleaning agents
  • Must maintain regular, predictable, full attendance

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Receives, rotates, wraps, and merchandises fresh and processed meats
  • Assists in merchandising seafood, rotisserie chickens, prepared foods, and cheeses
  • Provides assistance to Members by answering questions and recommending products
  • Maintains all cleaning and safety standards within the meat department
  • Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood, including grinds
  • Inspects and stores meat upon delivery ensuring quality standards
  • Cleans and sanitizes equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department
