The position available is a leadership role assisting the Team Leader in multi-team and department daily operations to drive profitability, manage expenses, control labor costs, oversee buying and merchandising activities, and ensure regulatory compliance, including food safety standards. The role requires someone who can help set and meet sales and margin targets, analyze sales and labor data, and resolve team or customer issues efficiently. The individual will act as the person in charge during the Team Leader’s absence, maintain high standards of retail execution, and foster a positive, respectful work environment that promotes teamwork and morale among Team Members. Leading and developing Team Members through coaching, mentoring, training, and motivation is essential to sustaining a high-performance team and minimizing turnover. This role also demands consistent communication of the Whole Foods Market vision and goals while adhering to health, safety, and regulatory policies. Candidates will be expected to excel at customer service, handle operational responsibilities, and demonstrate leadership through decision-making, prioritization, and delegation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and other operations-related software is a plus. The position requires significant physical effort, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing or walking up to 8 hours daily, and working in various environmental conditions, sometimes involving exposure to cleaning chemicals and fluctuating temperatures. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed is also required. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 18 months retail Team Member experience
  • at least 6 months supervisory experience
  • ability to lift 50 pounds
  • ability to stand or walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
  • ability to perform hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • ability to perform motions such as bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
  • ability to work in wet and cold environments
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to use tools and equipment including box cutters, knives, electric pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks, six-wheel carts, balers, and other heavy machinery

Job Duties
