The Meadows of Napa Valley is a distinguished not-for-profit Life Plan Community located in the heart of the famed Wine Country at 1800 Atrium Parkway, Napa, California. This community is recognized as the area's premier senior living destination, offering a retreat-like atmosphere combined with resort-style amenities and services. Residents at The Meadows of Napa Valley enjoy the benefits of beautiful residences, a variety of dining options through three onsite restaurants, and an extensive continuum of healthcare services including Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing. Known for its commitment to quality senior care and its consistently high rankings among Napa senior living communities, The Meadows of Napa Valley represents more than just a place to live—it’s a vibrant community dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for every resident.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team at The Meadows of Napa Valley. This role is crucial for maintaining our high standards of food quality and safety while catering to the unique dietary requirements of our senior residents. The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $23.00 to $27.00, dependent on experience. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing assigned stations for each shift and working closely under the guidance of the lead cook or sous chef. Your duties will include preparing individual components of various entrees and food items that align with the dietary restrictions and preferences of the community residents.
The position demands strict adherence to food safety standards and sanitary food handling procedures in compliance with state, federal, and local health regulations including DSHS guidelines. You will play an active role in maintaining the kitchen environment not only safe and clean but also organized to optimize operational efficiency. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, and the ability to work occasional weekends or shifts is required to meet the needs of the community. Beyond food preparation and safety, you will also be expected to foster professional relationships with food and equipment vendors, maintain excellent communication with your culinary team and other staff, and contribute positively to the overall dining experience of our residents.
This role is ideal for individuals passionate about culinary arts and dedicated to providing a high level of service in a senior living environment. If you bring prior experience and a commitment to quality, The Meadows of Napa Valley offers a supportive work environment, competitive wages, and excellent benefits to support your personal and professional growth. Join us in delivering exceptional dining experiences that enhance the well-being and satisfaction of our valued residents at one of Napa's top senior living communities.
