Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Prior experience as a cook/sous chef/grill cook
  • Ability to prepare high quality food
  • Flexibility with schedule
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prepare therapeutic diets
  • CPR and first aid training may be required
  • Completion of food safety course
  • Completion of background check, drug screening, and pre-employment tasks
  • Ability to push/pull/carry up to 30lbs

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a cook/sous chef/grill cook (3-4 years preferred)
  • Ability to prepare high quality food for residents
  • Flexibility with schedule including weekends and various shifts
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with food and equipment vendors
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prepare therapeutic/modified diets
  • CPR and first aid training may be required
  • Completion of recognized food safety course
  • Successful background check, drug screen, and other pre-employment tasks as required

Job Duties

  • Prepare assigned stations for shift
  • Under direction of lead cook/sous chef, prepare individual components of various entrees and food items, adhering to the individual dietary restrictions of residents
  • Maintain kitchen food safety and sanitary food handling in compliance with State, Federal, and DSHS regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Banquet experience
