The Maternal Program Development Manager position is a high-impact leadership role. The person in this role will guide a dynamic women’s health service line encompassing obstetric triage, labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, newborn care, lactation services, perinatal education, and collaborative consults with OB/GYN providers. Grounded in evidence-based bundles and family-centered practices, this role aims to elevate outcomes across the maternal care continuum. The position leverages an extensive regional referral base, supports expansion projects, modernizes birthing spaces, and applies data-driven improvement strategies. Collaboration extends to service line executives, quality leaders, and physician champions to steward program development and strategic initiatives.
Daily responsibilities include standardizing pathways for labor and delivery, OB emergency department, perinatal safety, and cesarean optimization. The manager will also organize and lead drills and simulations, coach a friendly and team-oriented nursing group, and work with a diverse interdisciplinary cohort. This leadership role not only focuses on clinical excellence but also fosters an encouraging professional environment where innovation and teamwork thrive.
