Job Requirements
- must live and work in the US
- education level of high school diploma or GED
- two years of customer service work experience
- ability to use Microsoft Office and basic Excel
- computer experience
- knowledge of metric and currency conversions and Canadian taxes
- must be available during 7:30 AM-4:30 PM EST
- able to work remotely
- excellent communication skills
- ability to handle customer complaints
- ability to coordinate logistics
- ability to negotiate freight costs
- strong organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- two years of relevant customer service experience
- proficiency with Microsoft Office including basic Excel
- computer literacy
- foreign language proficiency in French is a plus
Job Duties
- communicate with customers to monitor inventories and anticipate production needs and schedule equipment to move waste by-products
- arrange and negotiate third-party freight costs using WM approved carriers for timely pick-ups
- monitor and maintain shipment status via computer system
- respond to customer complaints and investigate shipment issues for vendors and customers
- initiate calls to customers for delivery setup, shipment delays, and trace shipments with carriers
- review pricing with sales and marketing groups
- develop interactive relationships with vendors, customers, and freight carriers
- prepare necessary documentation for shipments including export documentation
- ensure timely and accurate invoicing and prepare vendor payments
- resolve downgrades and rejects by negotiating pricing with customers and vendors
- coordinate with supervisors and managers to keep informed of service issues
- contribute to positive customer and employee confidence
- provide feedback to supervisors regarding service failures and complaints
- provide accurate information on order status and product knowledge
- work to meet or exceed call center goals
- collaborate with sales representatives to meet service expectations
- perform special projects and support less experienced staff
