This particular role at FedEx involves the safe and efficient operation of equipment used to move packages, documents, heavyweight freight, dangerous goods, and Unit Load Devices (ULDs). Working primarily during the evening shift from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday to Friday, the position is designed for individuals capable of working in dynamic environments requiring physical stamina and attention to safety procedures. The employee will assist in building up and breaking down pallets containing heavyweight freight and serve as a liaison with ULD repair vendors when necessary. Operating motorized equipment safely and maintaining effective communication within a noisy operational setting are integral aspects of the role.

This full-time employment opportunity offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.79 to $25.97, reflective of factors such as experience, tenure, location, and performance. Employees are subject to a drug screen and must hold a valid driver’s license due to the nature of the equipment operation involved. The role requires a candidate who can work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding circumstances, including lifting heavy weights up to 50 lbs without assistance and maneuvering heavier loads using appropriate equipment or assistance. The job demands prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, squatting, climbing stairs or ladders, and handling packages at or above shoulder level.
