Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience or training in petrochemical industry
- Completion of initial classroom training in environmental, safety, quality and emergency response
- Completion of initial on-the-job training by qualified material handler
- Ability to communicate effectively with plant personnel at various levels
- Support of site HESQ policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Ability to perform various loading and blending job accountabilities
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience or training in the petrochemical industry
- Two years of accredited training in process technology or similar field preferred
- Completion of initial classroom training in environmental, safety, quality, emergency response and operations
- Completion of initial on-the-job training by a qualified material handler
- Team player with effective communication skills
- Supports site HESQ policy and complies with regulatory requirements
- Ability to handle various loading and blending tasks
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills
Job Duties
- Handles loading of finished products into tank cars, tank trucks, ISO tanks and other packages following DOT 49 CFR and IMDG shipping regulations
- Blends and/or packages finished products as required for filling orders
- Unloads raw material and incidentals such as oil
- Assists with loading of waste prior to disposal
- Cleans and permits equipment for maintenance
- Ensures proper package placarding and labeling per DOT and IMDG
- Assures product quality through periodic sampling and analysis
- Follows all safety, environmental and operations procedures
- Implements training of material handlers
- Reviews and redlines loading piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
- Reviews field piping and implements Houston Pipe Labeling Standard
- Ensures accuracy of production orders and SAP entries
- Writes SAP work notifications for equipment needing maintenance
- Partners with plant personnel for safe production and packaging of Mercaptan and Sulfides
- Partners with contractors and company personnel on projects
- Performs safety and environmental inspections
- Responsible for housekeeping in logistics areas
- Participates in planned general inspection (PGI) process
- Leads daily SMART shift meetings updating key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Provides operational support to logistics supervisor, production, technical and maintenance engineers
