Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, and distribution strongly preferred
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization

Job Duties
- Operate manual and automatic jacks
- Receive, unload, and load all materials including linen
- Distribute materials properly throughout the medical center
- Care for and operate material handling equipment prudently
- Issue, receive, and record transactions for all supplies and deliveries
- Conduct inventories and maintain accurate stock records
- Report shortages, overages, and system balances
- Process deliveries and use hand-held technology in storeroom and clinical areas
- Load and deliver materials throughout the medical center
- Adhere to scheduling of par locations
- Store and care for materials and equipment safely and hygienically
- Pack and ship materials as ordered
- Maintain cleanliness and efficiency of all materials management equipment and work areas
- Process carts through decontamination units and dispose of soiled materials properly
- Attach and identify tags or labels to materials upon receipt and record disposition
