We are currently looking for passionate and dynamic leaders to join our team as Assistant Store Managers, commonly known as Mates. The Mate position involves a blend of leadership responsibilities and hands-on tasks that keep the store running smoothly and customers satisfied. As a Mate, you will work closely with Crew Members, coaching and supporting them to achieve their best performance while ensuring that our values are consistently upheld throughout the store environment. This role requires a balance of operational skills, leadership, and a positive attitude to contribute to the overall store culture and success.

The Mate will play a pivotal role in improving the quality of store life by fostering a positive work atmosphere and engaging with both Crew and customers. Daily tasks include operating the cash register in an efficient and engaging manner, carefully bagging groceries, stocking shelves, and receiving deliveries. The Mate also serves as a role model, encouraging a supportive and productive team dynamic which helps maintain Trader Joe's reputation as a friendly and inviting place to shop.
