The role of Assistant Store Manager, referred to as Mate at Trader Joe's, is pivotal in building and leading high-performing teams that create WOW experiences for their shoppers. Mates are responsible for managing Crew Members by role-modeling positive workplace behaviors, providing direction, and offering support to help individuals grow. Serving as both leaders and team players, Mates work closely with their Crew to improve the overall quality of store life, foster a welcoming environment, and enhance customer satisfaction.
