Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of relevant culinary experience in high-volume kitchens
- Knowledge of Western and Continental cuisine techniques
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or G.E.D. or culinary apprenticeship or culinary school graduate preferred
- Two or more years of experience in a hotel restaurant, casino, or individual restaurant focused on specialized high-volume areas
- Familiarity with all aspects of the restaurant’s cuisine including wok cookery and Continental cuisine
- Culinary background emphasizing high volume, quality cuisine, and sanitation skills
- Ability to teach and train fellow culinarians
Job Duties
- Prepare high quality and consistent food products
- Work closely with Restaurant Chef and Assistant Master Cooks on outlet operations including inventory control and quality of purchased goods
- Check and maintain all kitchen equipment and report damages to management
- Supervise kitchen activities in conjunction with the Chef
- Rotate all food products in walk-ins and freezers to ensure freshness
- Display superior teamwork abilities and assist fellow culinarians when necessary
- Maintain all food standards, specifications, and recipes as outlined by the Chef and Executive Chef
- Follow all sanitation procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and report unsafe conditions to management
