Job Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Kalispel Tribal Work Permit
  • possession of Washington State Food Handler Permit (must obtain within 14 days of start date)
  • Hepatitis A vaccination
  • ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 80 pounds
  • compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations
  • willingness to work flexible hours according to business needs
  • ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
  • ability to stand, sit, walk, and occasionally ascend or descend stairs
  • ability to meet specific vision requirements including close, distance, and color vision
  • employment contingent upon successful background and drug tests

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • experience with high volume cooking preferred
  • computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft programs and other software
  • skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure
  • ability to work with mathematical concepts related to food
  • ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and the public
  • skill in effective verbal and written communication
  • favorable background investigation outcome

Job Duties

  • Perform various cooking methods
  • follow all recipes and control procedures
  • prepare or display food to specifications
  • assist Sous Chef in preparing specialty dishes
  • rotate food products daily to ensure quality
  • follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines set by the FDA to ensure HACCP compliance
  • perform quality control checks before, during, and after production
  • review kitchen operations continuously for improvements
  • perform other tasks as requested by Sous Chef, Food and Beverage Manager, or Regional Business Manager
  • be available to work changes in hours as necessary for business levels
  • may serve as a panelist for Internal Review Hearings
  • comply with all assigned duties beyond those listed
