Job Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Kalispel Tribal Work Permit
- possession of Washington State Food Handler Permit (must obtain within 14 days of start date)
- Hepatitis A vaccination
- ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 80 pounds
- compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations
- willingness to work flexible hours according to business needs
- ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
- ability to stand, sit, walk, and occasionally ascend or descend stairs
- ability to meet specific vision requirements including close, distance, and color vision
- employment contingent upon successful background and drug tests
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- experience with high volume cooking preferred
- computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft programs and other software
- skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure
- ability to work with mathematical concepts related to food
- ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and the public
- skill in effective verbal and written communication
- favorable background investigation outcome
Job Duties
- Perform various cooking methods
- follow all recipes and control procedures
- prepare or display food to specifications
- assist Sous Chef in preparing specialty dishes
- rotate food products daily to ensure quality
- follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines set by the FDA to ensure HACCP compliance
- perform quality control checks before, during, and after production
- review kitchen operations continuously for improvements
- perform other tasks as requested by Sous Chef, Food and Beverage Manager, or Regional Business Manager
- be available to work changes in hours as necessary for business levels
- may serve as a panelist for Internal Review Hearings
- comply with all assigned duties beyond those listed
