Guests at Marriott Knoxville Downtown enjoy easy access to cultural attractions such as the Knoxville Museum of Art, historic Market Square, and the University of Tennessee, making it an ideal destination for visitors of all kinds. The hotel features the WINDOWS ON THE PARK Restaurant and Lounge, offering a welcoming environment for family-friendly dining where children under 12 can eat free at qualifying rates. This setting provides a vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere for guests to enjoy meals, from energizing breakfasts to calming dinners after a day of exploration.
The role of Food & Beverage Manager at Marriott Knoxville Downtown is a dynamic leadership position integral to maintaining this property’s outstanding hospitality reputation. The Food & Beverage Manager will be the captain of hospitality, ensuring guests always experience impeccable service and a welcoming atmosphere throughout the dining areas—including the restaurant, lounge, and banquet services. This overtime eligible manager (OEM) position involves not only inspiring and coaching the team with positive energy to deliver exceptional service but also expertly handling administrative and operational tasks to ensure efficiency and compliance.
The manager maintains high standards in grooming, safety, and required certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid. Key responsibilities include administering payroll, managing scheduling, generating reports, and tracking staff performance to support smooth daily operations. The manager also oversees food quality assurance, promotion development, inventory control, and beverage purchasing to guarantee that food looks and tastes excellent while maintaining cost control.
Effective communication is crucial for this role, requiring the Food & Beverage Manager to swiftly address guest concerns and ensure customer satisfaction at all times. A strong problem-solver, you will participate in meetings and data analysis, demonstrating versatility and a proactive approach to meeting challenges and uplifting the team spirit. Marriott Knoxville Downtown offers a competitive benefits package after an initial waiting period, including medical, dental, vision coverage, disability income, life insurance, paid time off, an employee assistance program, and a 401k retirement plan. Additionally, the company now offers daily pay as a valuable benefit for its team members. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional passionate about creating memorable dining experiences in a leading hotel environment.
