Guests at this downtown location enjoy easy access to a variety of local attractions such as the Knoxville Museum of Art, historic Market Square, and the University of Tennessee, making it a favored destination for visitors seeking both cultural and recreational activities.
The hotel features WINDOWS ON THE PARK Restaurant & Lounge, a family-friendly dining establishment that serves a popular Best-4-Breakfast menu and offers free meals for children under 12 at qualifying rates. This welcoming atmosphere not only caters to hotel guests but also to locals looking for a quality dining experience in a relaxed setting.
The Busser role at Marriott Knoxville Downtown is a vital position within the FOOD & BEVERAGE DEPARTMENT, where the individual plays an essential part in ensuring the restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently. As a Busser, you will be the behind-the-scenes hero who enhances the overall dining experience by maintaining cleanliness, supporting servers, and keeping the flow of the restaurant seamless. It is a fast-paced, dynamic role that requires attentiveness, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to multitask.
This position is often entry-level, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to start a career in hospitality or restaurant service. Typically requiring a high school diploma and between zero to two years of experience, the Busser works under direct supervision and handles basic tasks with guidance on more complex situations. Strong clerical, organizational, and oral communication skills are beneficial, along with a customer-focused attitude to assist in delivering excellent service.
Responsibilities include clearing tables swiftly and effectively, resetting them for the next guests, maintaining impeccable cleanliness in the dining area, restocking service stations, and occasionally assisting with dishwashing duties. This role is critical in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring guests leave with a positive impression.
Full-time employees who complete an initial waiting period are eligible for a competitive benefits package, which features medical, dental, and vision coverage, short-term and long-term disability income protection, term life and AD&D insurance, paid time off, an employee assistance program, and a 401k retirement plan. The hotel also offers a unique Daily Pay option, providing financial flexibility for its team members.
Joining Marriott Knoxville Downtown as a Busser is not just a job but an opportunity to be part of a respected hospitality brand renowned worldwide for quality and excellence. It is a chance to work in a vibrant environment alongside passionate colleagues, gain valuable experience, and contribute to making every guest's visit exceptional.
