Job Description

Sports Facilities Management, LLC (SFC) is the nation's leading resource for managing and developing sports, recreation, wellness, and events facilities. With a strong reputation for innovation and excellence, SFC operates multiple venues including Amarillo Netplex, The Refinery Fieldhouse + Event Center, and Chisenhall Fields Sports Complex, serving communities in Amarillo, TX, Garden City, KS, and Burleson, TX. Known for its highly collaborative and supportive culture, SFC prioritizes continuous career growth, fostering a workplace environment where talent is nurtured and professional development is a given. The company has received national recognition as a Top Workplace year after year, making it not only a leader within its industry but also a desirable workplace for high-performing professionals. SFC’s mission-driven approach focuses on entrepreneurship, teamwork, accountability, excellence, and a strong commitment to service, all while maintaining an engaging and fun atmosphere for employees.

The Shared Marketing Manager role at SFC is a full-time, exempt position situated in the marketing department and reporting directly to the General Manager. This position plays a critical role in driving the marketing efforts across several SFC-managed venues, including the three primary locations in Texas and Kansas. The Shared Marketing Manager is responsible for designing, executing, and optimizing customized marketing strategies that align with the unique goals of each site. This includes managing brand presence, leading digital campaigns, enhancing SEO performance, and boosting customer engagement through multifaceted marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in multi-site marketing management, sports and facility marketing, and social media execution. In addition to campaign creation and content management involving blog posts, ad copywriting, and graphic design, the manager will also report key performance indicators to senior leadership and stakeholders, ensuring marketing activities are aligned with overarching business strategies.

This role demands a strategic thinker who can lead marketing initiatives from concept through to execution and analysis. Responsibilities include coordinating digital and traditional marketing campaigns, managing social media channels, overseeing email marketing efforts, and optimizing online engagement. The Shared Marketing Manager is also tasked with managing marketing budgets, working with external vendors such as print, signage, and website providers, and driving cooperation between the venues and internal teams. The dynamic nature of this position involves frequent collaboration through monthly and annual business planning meetings, marketing reviews, and key account calls. The manager will regularly report to and influence the General Manager and other key stakeholders on marketing strategies. Approximately 15% travel is expected to facilitate on-site client and team meetings, presentations, and campaigns. Additionally, the manager will spearhead the SFC National Marketing Co-op Program, involving creative execution, stakeholder alignment, and comprehensive reporting.

SFC places a premium on candidates who bring strong leadership capabilities, project management skills, and a track record of successful marketing strategy and campaign development. Budget management experience combined with expertise in managing and optimizing social media platforms, paid campaigns, and multimedia advertising opportunities is highly valued. Candidates should also be comfortable organizing and attending industry events such as conferences, seminars, receptions, and exhibitions. Familiarity with email marketing and customer relationship management (CRM) software databases is important for managing targeted communications and overall campaign effectiveness. The working environment requires some physical activity, such as lifting items up to 30 pounds, standing or sitting for extended periods, and occasional bending or stooping. The prospective marketing manager will need to stay adaptable to an environment with intermittent noise and operational demands involving computer-based tasks.

Joining SFC as a Shared Marketing Manager offers a unique opportunity to be part of an expanding organization in a rapidly growing industry. This is a chance to influence marketing strategy on multiple scales while benefitting from a mission-focused, entrepreneurial culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and collaboration. The role promises both professional growth and the satisfaction of contributing to vibrant sports and events venues that impact their communities positively.
