The role of Marketing Intern - Special Events and Promotions is designed to immerse students or entry-level marketing enthusiasts in the practical aspects of marketing within the entertainment and theme park industry. This internship provides an enriching experience by involving the intern in the planning, execution, and promotion of special events, festivals, and brand activations, intertwined with hands-on exposure to marketing and group sales operations.

The Marketing Intern will work under the supervision of the Marketing & Sales Director and Marketing Manager, collaborating closely with multiple internal departments such as Group Sales, Food & Beverage, Operations, and Guest Services. This position offers an hourly pay rate of $19.50 and is a temporary internship role to be filled by May 8, 2026, with applications accepted until April 24, 2026. The intern will actively contribute to ongoing marketing campaigns, leverage social media platforms, coordinate event logistics, and engage in guest communications to ensure a seamless guest experience. Alongside event coordination, the intern will gain skills in content creation including photo and video capturing during events, which supports both real-time marketing and follow-up campaign strategies.

Key responsibilities include supporting the development of marketing and sales initiatives, providing on-site event support, and assisting with vendor coordination and timeline management. The position requires flexibility to work during weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime, adapting to various weather conditions. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams
  • Ability to adapt, think on your feet and problem-solve in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Interest in event planning, hospitality, marketing or experiential activations

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, advertising or a related field of study or be in the process of earning a bachelor's degree in a related area of study
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office programs, major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and TikTok) and Canva or other basic design tools
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, guest-facing environments
  • Able to work independently and with a team
  • Must possess oral and written English skills and must be able to communicate with guests and other team members effectively
  • May be required to work in various weather conditions
  • Available holidays and weekends
  • Available to work overtime and have flexible work hours

Job Duties

  • Support the planning and execution of all marketing and sales initiatives
  • Provide on-site support for events, promotions and brand activations
  • Deliver excellent guest service via email, phone and in-person by responding to guest questions, comments and concerns
  • Maintain awareness of park offerings, ticket products, operating schedules and special events to ensure accurate guest-facing communication
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams including Operations, Revenue, Maintenance, Park Leadership and more
  • Maintain a clean, safe and professional work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Contribute to the planning, promotion and coordination of the park's special events, festivals and activations
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Group Sales, Food & Beverage, Operations, Entertainment and Guest Services to align on event details and plans
  • Assist in developing planning documents, event briefs and communication memos
  • Support the promotion of events across social media, email and website channels, including coordinating content needs and messaging
  • Create and organize event materials and signage in advance, ensuring accuracy, brand consistency and readiness for event days
  • Help manage timelines, vendor coordination and day-of logistics
  • Assist with set-up, on-site support and tear-down of events and activations
  • Capture real-time content during events, including photo and video, for use across social media and future marketing campaigns
  • Compile post-event recaps, including feedback, performance insights and key takeaways to inform future planning
