This job opportunity is for the position of Event Marketing Specialist within Qualcomm’s Sales, Business Development & Marketing Group, specifically in the Marketing Events sector. The role is based in San Diego and requires in-office presence to support Qualcomm's experiential marketing team. As an Event Marketing Specialist, you will play a vital role in planning, executing, and managing marketing projects and event logistics that help showcase Qualcomm’s innovative technologies to clients and partners through various marketing events. These events vary in size and scope and require meticulous coordination and technical support.
The Event Marketing Specialist will be responsible for technical demonstration support including managing audio-video needs, equipment setup, and testing to ensure seamless event execution. An essential aspect of the job includes the physical capability to lift and move materials ranging from 25 to 50 pounds regularly. Attention to detail is paramount as you will be expected to anticipate and resolve potential issues before they impact events. You will provide essential communication and coordination to ensure all internal stakeholders and event leads are well informed and that all activities align with Qualcomm’s brand and operational guidelines. Flexibility is necessary as this role includes domestic and international travel, including weekends and holidays, to support events as needed.
Compensation for this role ranges from $33.56 to $50.34 per hour, and Qualcomm offers a competitive annual discretionary bonus program along with Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grants for eligible employees, plus an extensive benefits package designed to support employees’ well-being in various aspects of life. Qualcomm champions equal employment opportunities and is dedicated to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities throughout the hiring process and employment.
