Job Description
Clark Construction Company is a well-established construction firm that has been operating across Michigan for over 80 years. Throughout its history, the company has cultivated a reputation for excellence and reliability in multiple sectors including K-12 education, higher education, hospitality, government, water and wastewater management, healthcare, infrastructure, retail and mixed-use developments, as well as science and technology. Clark Construction prides itself on its skilled teams that manage projects efficiently and effectively, ensuring that every endeavor meets the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction. This longstanding experience and diverse portfolio make Clark Construction a trusted leader in the Michigan construction market.
The Marketing Coordinator position at Clark Construction is an opportunity to join a dynamic marketing and business development team actively involved in shaping how the company pursues new projects and engages with its clients. This role is not simply about creating marketing materials; it encompasses a broad range of responsibilities critical to business success. The Marketing Coordinator will take a proactive role in proposal development, interview preparation, and client engagement. This position involves writing, editing, organizing, and formatting content to clearly communicate the company's strengths and capabilities. The role also includes producing compelling visual materials that help convey complex construction and project management concepts in an accessible manner. Additionally, the coordinator will maintain vital marketing data such as resumes and project profiles and support business development through research and client-facing initiatives.
Located in either Lansing or Grand Rapids, Michigan, the Marketing Coordinator is expected to collaborate statewide with team members and leadership across multiple offices. Some travel is involved to attend interviews, planning sessions, training events, or conferences, which provides a great opportunity for professional networking and growth. The ideal candidate will be engaged, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong writing, editing, organizational skills, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office are essential for success in the role. This position also offers growth potential, encouraging the coordinator to take ownership and develop leadership skills over time.
Clark Construction values its employees deeply, fostering a work culture where individuals are encouraged to think creatively, contribute ideas, and grow professionally. Unlike many companies where the marketing team functions solely as support, at Clark Construction, the marketing team is integrated into the core pursuit strategy, with direct access to leadership and opportunities to influence business outcomes. This role offers a unique chance to be part of a team where your contributions are recognized and have real impact on the company’s growth and success.
Clark Construction is known not only for its high-quality projects but also for its commitment to professional development and inclusive work culture. The company offers competitive benefits including comprehensive health coverage, 401(k) matching, profit sharing, and generous paid time off. As a Certified Veteran Friendly Employer and an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, Clark Construction values diversity and believes that different perspectives enhance the quality of work and innovation within the team. Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of background checks conducted in compliance with federal and state laws, ensuring a safe and trustworthy work environment. This marketing coordinator role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to advance their marketing career within a reputable construction company that values creativity, strategy, and professional growth.
