Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of marketing or communications experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with social media marketing and management
  • Proficient in WordPress website management
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to pass background security screening
  • Physical ability to perform extended periods of sitting, walking, and standing

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of related experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in various formats
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with diverse groups
  • Ability to think strategically and manage hands-on responsibilities
  • Experience assisting senior staff and supporting multiple departments
  • Knowledge of marketing and public relations strategies
  • Experience managing social media platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Skilled in writing and editing social media copy maintaining brand voice
  • Experience managing websites, preferably WordPress
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn new software programs
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
  • Physical ability to sit, walk, stand for extended periods
  • Ability to use computer monitors and keyboards for long durations

Job Duties

  • Execute day-to-day marketing channels including website, social media, and email marketing
  • Utilize cross-channel content calendar for planning with supervisor and departments
  • Execute email campaigns including message crafting, approvals, and subscription list maintenance
  • Maintain and update the museum website including exhibitions, events, programs, and digital press materials
  • Ensure website and email accessibility optimization
  • Develop engaging social media content with strategic hashtags
  • Proofread and fact-check outgoing marketing materials, ads, and brochures
