Job Description

Alliance Highway Safety is a dedicated organization specializing in impactful community messaging with a core focus on highway safety programs across several states, including Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. The company collaborates with various state agencies to deliver targeted campaigns addressing key issues such as drinking and driving, texting and driving, seatbelt usage, speeding, and other critical highway safety concerns. Alliance Highway Safety leverages popular platforms such as sports events, entertainment venues, and high school activities to spread their vital messages to diverse audiences effectively. This approach allows the organization to engage directly with community members in lively and well-attended venues, helping to raise awareness and ultimately save lives on the roads.

Working at Alliance Highway Safety means joining a team that values outgoing, flexible, and responsible individuals who are passionate about making a difference. The company prides itself on fostering a collaborative environment where team members can learn from experienced professionals dedicated to highway safety. As part of this mission, the organization offers unique opportunities to engage in lively community events such as festivals, high school and college sports, rodeos, fairs, and the Choices Matter Program.

The role of the Marketing and Events Coordinator is exciting and multifaceted, providing invaluable hands-on experience in event marketing and corporate sponsorship management within the highway safety sector. Coordinators have the chance to develop skills in planning and executing diverse sponsorship campaigns and work closely with venue coordinators to ensure all aspects of each event run smoothly. This work requires a blend of organizational skills, public engagement, and creative marketing strategies to maximize the impact of the campaigns.

Marketing and Events Coordinators at Alliance Highway Safety will travel extensively (covering Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey) to staff and manage events. Their responsibilities include assisting in the coordination of all logistical elements surrounding events, making on-the-ground decisions, and reporting outcomes to management. This role demands flexibility in working hours, including weekdays, weekends, and some holidays, as events often happen outside of standard business hours.

Furthermore, coordinators contribute to the creative process by supporting the development of marketing materials using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Canva, although this is optional. They also play a critical role in inventory management, data collection, and verification that all sponsorship elements meet the contractual requirements at each venue, including signage, public address announcements, video commercials, and print advertisements.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy traveling, interacting with diverse groups of people, and actively contributing to community welfare. If you are seeking a career that combines event coordination, marketing, and highway safety advocacy with extensive regional travel and community involvement, this role with Alliance Highway Safety offers a rewarding and dynamic opportunity. Interested candidates are encouraged to submit a cover letter and resume to join a team committed to making highways safer through education and engagement.
