Job Description
Alliance Highway Safety is a leading organization dedicated to promoting impactful highway safety messages across various states in the United States. This company specializes in community messaging campaigns focused on critical topics such as drinking and driving, texting and driving, wearing seatbelts, speeding, and other vital safety concerns. Using diverse platforms like sports, entertainment, and high school venues, Alliance Highway Safety effectively delivers messages that aim to reduce accidents and save lives.
As part of their vibrant internship program, Alliance Highway Safety seeks flexible, outgoing, and organized individuals to help coordinate a wide range of sponsorship events nationwide. Interns will gain invaluable hands-on experience by working closely with the seasoned staff to learn about event marketing and corporate sponsorships. The role provides a dynamic learning environment where interns will assist in managing sponsorship campaigns, engaging with professionals in highway safety, and traveling across the country to various events such as fairs, festivals, motorcycle rallies, racetracks, college sports events, and the Choices Matter Program.
This internship is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about making a positive impact in their communities while honing their marketing and organizational skills. Interns will play a crucial role in sharing campaign messages directly with event attendees, helping to sustain and extend the reach of these life-saving programs. The position requires individuals who thrive on travel, enjoy interacting with diverse audiences, and can adeptly manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
The role demands a high degree of flexibility, as event staffing may occur on weekdays, weekends, and holidays, involving significant travel—up to 75% of the time. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating travel arrangements, liaising with venue coordinators like school leadership and sponsorship partners, and ensuring that each event meets sponsorship requirements such as signage, PA announcements, video commercials, and print advertisements. The internship also involves collecting and analyzing program data, preparing professional event recaps, capturing marketing activation photographs, conducting inventory management, and engaging in creative brainstorming sessions to maximize the effectiveness of sponsorship activations.
Optional skills include proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Canva for creating visual marketing projects. The internship runs from May through August or September of 2026, offering a stipend-based pay structure. Alliance Highway Safety is committed to diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and providing equal consideration regardless of race, color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability status, veteran status, or other protected classifications.
