Job Description
Layton Construction is a premier construction company known for its commitment to excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction. With a rich history and a reputation for delivering quality projects on time and within budget, Layton Construction has established itself as a leader in the construction industry. The company operates across various sectors, including commercial, healthcare, education, and, notably, the mission critical infrastructure sector, which powers America's digital future through state-of-the-art data centers. Layton Construction values a collaborative work environment, a focus on safety, and continuous professional development for its employees. The company fosters a culture of integrity, respect, and technical expertise, making it a preferred employer in the construction industry.
The Mission Critical (MC) group at Layton Construction is at the forefront of building infrastructure for some of the world's largest technology companies, focusing on data centers that support the booming digital economy. The Marketing & Engagement Lead role within this group is an exciting opportunity for a marketing professional to play a key role in shaping how Layton's MC group engages with its clients, partners, and industry stakeholders. This position is office-based in Nashville, TN or Sandy, UT, with 20-25% regular travel to project sites and offices nationwide. The role reports directly to the Marketing Director and works closely with MC leadership as well as various corporate marketing teams including Communications, Digital, Social Media, Video, and Creative Services.
This role demands a highly organized, resourceful individual who thrives working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The Marketing & Engagement Lead will orchestrate a wide range of marketing and communication activities including planning and executing high-profile events such as project milestone ceremonies, client appreciation events, philanthropic initiatives, industry conferences, and internal celebrations. Additionally, the role involves managing comprehensive signage programs that meet strict client branding requirements, a critical aspect for maintaining client satisfaction and brand consistency across the MC's expanding national portfolio.
Beyond event planning, the Marketing & Engagement Lead serves as a central communications coordinator who manages NDAs and client approval processes, navigates security protocols at sensitive data center sites, and handles multi-party collaborations including joint ventures. This position combines elements of client relationship management, brand stewardship, event logistics, and strategic marketing planning, offering substantial autonomy while requiring strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ideal candidates will have at least five years of marketing, event planning, or business development support experience, exceptional organizational skills, a proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and the confidence to work with executive leadership. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools such as Monday.com is expected. This role is well suited for someone passionate about technology sectors and eager to contribute to a company powering America’s digital infrastructure. Layton Construction offers a comprehensive benefits package and an inclusive workplace culture committed to equal opportunity and diversity.
