  • strong understanding of NCAA Division III philosophy
  • commitment to comply with NCAA, conference, and college policies and regulations
  • strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • proficient multitasking, meeting deadlines, and prioritizing tasks
  • competent in basic math
  • familiarity with various computer programs and ability to learn new software tools quickly
  • sound judgment, leadership, event planning, and presentation abilities
  • ability to focus in fast-paced or noisy environments

Job Duties

  • Serve as media contact for select sports and provide on-site coverage
  • write and disseminate press releases, manage web and social content, and oversee game day operations for assigned sports
  • develop marketing strategies and on-site activations to engage the campus and local community
  • manage athletic ticketing including single-game, season, and group tickets
  • assist with preparing sponsorship materials for current and potential partners
  • develop and implement video and social media strategies to promote the department
  • assist with planning and execution of departmental initiatives such as annual golf tournament, Hall of Fame induction, student-athlete banquet, publicity photo shoots, and game day marketing events
  • supervise 1-3 student workers
