Job Description

Urban Youth Impact is a distinguished faith-based nonprofit organization founded in 1997 and dedicated to serving the most at-risk inner-city youth populations in Palm Beach County, Florida. They focus on nurturing, educating, and empowering youth primarily through their award-winning after-school programs. The organization’s comprehensive approach ensures children from disadvantaged neighborhoods receive the support needed to thrive academically, socially, and creatively. By fostering trusting relationships and emphasizing leadership development, Urban Youth Impact helps these young people unlock their potential and prepare to succeed in higher education and future careers. Programs under their umbrella include Carver Christian Academy (CCA), The Leadership Academy (TLA), Reframe, and CREATE. Each program focuses on enhancing various facets of youth development such as academics, leadership skills, creativity, and life purpose discovery.

Serving more than 300 youths weekly, the organization targets neighborhoods that have been identified by the Children’s Services Council as having the most significant risk factors, including poverty, low graduation rates, and other social challenges like fatherlessness. Key areas of focus include West Palm Beach’s Tamarind Avenue corridor and parts of Riviera Beach. Urban Youth Impact’s work is anchored by a strong commitment to holistic youth development through faith and community support, making a demonstrable difference in the lives of children and families who face persistent adversity.

The role being offered is focused on leading the execution of the organization’s annual appeal plan and managing all communications and marketing efforts that support fundraising and donor engagement activities. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer and working closely with the Database Administrator, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape and implement integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including email, social media, website content, video, photography, and printed materials. This role is critical in ensuring that Urban Youth Impact’s brand is consistently presented with excellence and that donor communications are compelling, mission-driven, and effective.

In this position, you will develop content that tells powerful stories about the organization’s impact and the communities served. You will also take charge of coordinating the marketing and communications logistics for organizational events such as golf tournaments and charity runs. The role requires strong project management skills to oversee relationships with outside vendors and ensure high-quality, brand-consistent deliverables. Acting as the communications liaison between the Development Team and other departments, you will gather timely updates and translate these into engaging messaging for donors and stakeholders. Participation in event setup and operations is also integral, fostering a collaborative spirit within Urban Youth Impact’s fundraising initiatives.

Offering a salary of $40,000 per year, this role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to a noble cause by promoting youth advancement and community well-being through innovative storytelling and marketing excellence. If you are passionate about making a measurable difference through strategic communications and fundraising, this position will allow you to be at the heart of an impactful ministry that changes lives and builds futures.
