Job Requirements

Must be able to perform medium physical work exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly
must possess vision including depth perception, color vision, and field of vision
must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions
reliable attendance with punctuality
adherence to personal hygiene and dress codes
ability to handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
basic math skills including addition and subtraction
ability to communicate clearly and follow instructions
willingness to assist in various store operations as needed

Job Qualifications

No formal education required
six months or less of similar or related work experience
ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
ability to do simple addition and subtraction
ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
effective communication skills
basic customer service skills
teamwork and collaboration abilities
knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
familiarity with kitchen and food service equipment
ability to maintain professionalism and positive attitude throughout shifts
physical capability to perform medium work involving lifting and repetitive motions

Job Duties

Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
makes an effort to learn customers’ names and address them by name
assists customers by escorting them to products, securing items, loading heavy goods, noting customer suggestions, and enhancing the shopping experience
answers telephone promptly and provides helpful service including taking orders
takes customer orders at the Market Grille counter
works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction
reviews and fills customer orders for the day
handles food safely and maintains cleanliness
reviews food status and appearance for freshness
ensures adequate food supply and follows production lists
anticipates product needs daily
prepares and replenishes product as necessary
pulls product from cooler/freezer to prepare for cooking
checks in and puts away product
runs department registers and handles payments
removes trash timely
maintains adherence to hygiene and dress guidelines
follows company policies and store guidelines
reports to work on time
washes dishes as necessary
orders products and supplies
prices products
delivers orders as needed
assists in other store areas
performs other job-related duties and special projects as required
