Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Experience with customer service or hospitality
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs
  • Flexibility to work full or partial weekends
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment
  • Ability to work in various conditions and perform assigned duties

  • Boating skills preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet guests, boaters, members and visitors with hospitality in a friendly, warm and courteous manner
  • Answer phone inquiries by the third ring in a friendly tone and handle email inquiries promptly
  • Develop and maintain effective, friendly relationships with staff, boaters, and visitors while managing conflicts tactfully
  • Respond to member questions about service department, ship store, or other operational areas
  • Manage haul out and launch schedule efficiently
  • Accept and reconcile daily cash, credit and check payments and follow up with past due balances
  • Follow safety and environmental rules and complete required training promptly
  • Communicate immediately to management any incidents involving guests or team members
  • Wear required personal protective equipment and report accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately
  • Perform all other duties as assigned including use of skills and working in necessary conditions to complete tasks
