This role requires operational expertise in handling mixers, liquid meters, flour scales, and the ability to adjust formulas to meet specific conditions. The Dough Mixer ensures that all mixtures meet the desired temperature, consistency, and quality standards by closely following the food safety, hygiene, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) policies. The position demands an individual who is detail-oriented with a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. The Dough Mixer will perform essential duties including loading bulk materials, hand scaling small ingredients, conducting pre-operation checks, setting up and changing over equipment, and accurately documenting all production processes. This role also requires consistent reliability, the ability to work overtime and multiple shifts, and an understanding of food defense and regulatory compliance. Physical activity is moderate to high, with requirements to lift up to 55 pounds and perform tasks like standing, walking, bending, and climbing throughout the shift. The role demands strong communication skills both verbally and in writing, basic math competency, and familiarity with computer operations as needed. Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Special certification for use of forklift and chemicals may be required
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to operate computer programs as needed
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to work overtime and multi-shift environment
  • Physical ability to lift 55 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, climbing, reaching, and moving about the facility
  • Hearing ability to meet safety requirements in high noise areas
  • Vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
  • Willingness to comply with GMP, food safety, food hygiene and quality policies

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Operates mixers, liquid meters, flour scales
  • Adjusts formulas according to conditions
  • Hand scales small ingredients
  • Loads by hand bulk materials
  • Controls temperature and consistency of the dough
  • Sets up and changes over equipment
  • Conducts pre-ops
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly in compliance with GMP standards
  • Works overtime as required
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance
  • Follows all GMP, food safety, and quality policies
  • Ensures compliance with all food hygiene and safety standards
  • Reports food safety incidents such as GMP violations, contamination, or equipment deficiencies
  • Ensures compliance with food defense, food regulations, and product/process quality
  • Records accurate and legible results on documentation
  • Provides adequate housekeeping at all times
