The managerial role offers an annual salary range of $90,000 to $100,000.
The role of Manager, Warehousing Operations at Estes Forwarding Worldwide is pivotal to overseeing the full scope of fiscal and daily operational functions within the assigned warehouse location in Tacoma, Washington. This is a regular, full-time position specifically entrusted with leading, directing, and managing all aspects of warehouse operations and sales efforts to uphold consistent high standards of service quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
The Manager is responsible for ensuring profitable, cost-effective operations while complying with all applicable company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. They lead and manage site staff and resources to maximize operational efficiency and profitability, ensuring the warehouse functions as a safe, productive, and professional environment. This includes supervision of 6 to 10 employees with duties ranging from interviewing, hiring, and training personnel, to performance management, problem resolution, and fostering positive customer relations.
As a crucial operational leader, the Manager will continuously review and evaluate location profit and loss (P&L) performance and adjust both short and long-term strategies to ensure financial goals are met or exceeded. They are also involved in establishing and refining processes that drive excellence in customer relations and operational workflows. Additionally, they take a hands-on approach when necessary, assisting with freight handling and stock management using forklifts or pallet jacks once authorized.
The Manager ensures compliance with safety and security protocols such as C-TPAT and TSA guidelines while promoting regular attendance and a culture of accountability within the team. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, financial acumen, and an ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization. Candidates with five to seven years of experience in transportation or warehousing, including supervisory or managerial experience, are preferred. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Job Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5-7 years of relevant industry experience preferred
- 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience desired
- Ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks once authorized
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and random drug and/or alcohol tests
- Must be subject to a criminal history background check
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- EFW will not sponsor employment authorization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Ability to comply with company policies and regulatory guidelines
- Regular attendance required
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5-7 years of experience in warehousing or transportation industry preferred
- 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks once authorized
- Strong financial management skills
- Experience managing external service providers such as cartage, truckload, and linehaul
- In-depth knowledge of products and services
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated team leadership and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operations manuals, and business documents
- Ability to write comprehensive reports and business correspondence
- Ability to present to groups across the organization

Job Duties
- Accountable for maintaining profitable and cost-efficient operations

- Assist the team with moving freight, stock, or other materials using equipment when authorized
