Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or related field
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in health and safety management within logistics, manufacturing, or similar industrial environments
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards in North America, South America, and Canada
- Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing health and safety programs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Willingness to travel frequently across continents
- Professional health and safety certifications preferred
- Ability to lead and mentor teams
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or related field
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive health and safety management experience in logistics, manufacturing, or industrial environments
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and provincial and local health and safety regulations across North America, South America, and Canada
- Proven success in developing and implementing effective safety programs
- Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and decision-making
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Willingness to travel frequently across the Americas
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or equivalent are highly desirable
Job Duties
- Develop and implement regional health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify hazards and assess risks
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across North America, South America, and Canada
- Collaborate with operations management and human resources to integrate safety best practices
- Provide expert guidance on risk assessments, emergency preparedness, and occupational health
- Monitor and analyze safety performance data and develop improvement strategies
- Manage and mentor a regional team of health and safety professionals
- Prepare and present health and safety reports to clients and senior leadership
- Stay updated on new safety legislation, best practices, and emerging risks
