Job Requirements

  • 5 plus years experience in transportation brokerage or third party logistics field
  • 5 years experience in management or similar role
  • College degree or experience in lieu of education
  • Fluency in English oral and written
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with transportation management software such as TMS or WMS
  • Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively

Job Qualifications

  • 5 plus years experience in transportation brokerage or third party logistics field with comprehensive knowledge of LTL Truck Load and current trucking marketplace
  • 5 years experience in management or similar role
  • College degree or experience in lieu of education
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify and address operational issues and challenges
  • In depth knowledge of transportation and logistics processes regulations and industry best practices
  • Proficiency in using transportation management software such as TMS or WMS
  • Knowledge of lean principles and methodologies is a plus
  • Fluency in English oral and written
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and PowerPoint and experience with transportation management software

Job Duties

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the transportation and logistics division including planning scheduling and coordinating activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services
  • Monitor and maintain operational policies procedures and systems to improve efficiency quality and safety
  • Manage staff including hiring training and performance evaluation to ensure that all team members are working effectively and efficiently
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics including productivity cost and quality and develop plans to improve performance
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers partners and vendors ensuring that all parties are informed and satisfied with the services provided
  • Collaborate with other departments including sales and customer service to ensure that all aspects of the business are aligned and working together effectively
  • Continuously search for ways to improve operational processes define structure and increase productivity
