Job Description
KSA Events is a premier provider of student-athlete travel experiences, specializing in organizing competitive athletic events, tournaments, and training opportunities for high school teams from across the country. With over 30 years of experience, KSA Events has established itself as a trusted partner for athletic directors, coaches, and schools looking to design enriching trips that combine elite-level competition, team bonding, and unforgettable travel experiences. The company hosts flagship events primarily in Florida but also extends its reach to major cities like Hawaii, New York, Denver, Southern California, Boston, and Washington D.C., enabling student-athletes to challenge themselves against national competition while creating lasting memories with their teammates.
KSA Events emphasizes providing seamless, full-service experiences that cover scheduling, logistics, accommodations, training, and on-site support. This comprehensive approach allows coaches and players to focus on the game without worrying about the complexities of travel and competition management. KSA Events operates under the belief that sports have the power to inspire growth, build character, and strengthen communities, and its mission is centered on delivering experiences that embody these values.
The Manager of Events & Competition Operations role is vital to this mission, primarily responsible for organizing, scheduling, and managing athletic competitions for school teams traveling to Florida. This full-time position, based in Orlando, FL with a hybrid work model, demands meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities. The role involves a significant amount of desk-based work focused on building schedules, coordinating facilities and officials, and maintaining systems and communications. Additionally, there is an on-site operational component, requiring approximately 12 weeks per year dedicated to executing games, practices, and clinics during event seasons.
This position requires close collaboration with sales, account management, and operations teams to ensure a seamless experience throughout the entire trip—from initial scheduling through to the conclusion of the event. The events operate across three main seasons each year: Spring (March - April), Fall (Late August - Early September), and Winter (December - Early January). During these peak seasons, the manager will be onsite supporting events, while in the preparation months leading up to events, there will be occasional flexible hours and evening commitments, including Zoom calls with clients. These commitments count towards the normal workday and do not exceed eight hours on non-event days.
Training is scheduled from March 15 to April 1, requiring candidates to be located near Orlando for this period. The role is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments that require multitasking and problem-solving to keep competitions running smoothly. The manager acts as the primary contact for coaches, facilities, officials, trainers, and staff during events, addressing any last-minute issues to ensure that on-site experiences align with planned schedules and client expectations.
Overall, this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to memorable athletic experiences that cultivate athlete development and community building. The company offers a competitive base salary with a commission/bonus structure, paid time off (PTO), a healthcare stipend of $500 per month, travel opportunities, event-related benefits, and opportunities for growth within a collaborative, mission-driven team. KSA Events is committed to fostering a supportive work environment that values clear communication, teamwork, and the shared goal of delivering exceptional sporting events.
