Job Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in a hard science discipline such as environmental science, biology, geology, agriculture, chemistry, or engineering
  • 5-8 years of experience in environmental regulatory field
  • Experience in report writing and interfacing with federal, state and local environmental compliance regulators
  • Advanced knowledge of UST and AST regulations, vapor recovery systems, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, and OSHA
  • Experience with SPCC and FRP plan management, air compliance, stormwater plans and permitting, and NPDES discharge permits
  • Multi-tasking several issues at one time
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to multi-task
  • Will require ground and air travel with overnight stays
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, geology, agriculture, chemistry, or an engineering discipline
  • 5-8 years of experience in the environmental regulatory field
  • Advanced knowledge of UST and AST regulations, vapor recovery systems, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, and OSHA
  • Experience with SPCC and FRP plan management, air compliance, stormwater plans and permitting, and NPDES discharge permits
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational, planning, time management and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work independently and multitask
  • Experience in report writing and interfacing with federal, state and local environmental compliance regulators
  • Preferred experience with US Coast Guard planning

Job Duties

  • Oversees the environmental compliance program management of the Musket Corporation and Loves Alternative Energy family of companies
  • Provide leadership for the Environmental Compliance Analyst and coordinate activities with the Director of Environmental
  • Performs periodic environmental compliance regulatory audits and training at fuel terminals with the Safety team
  • Provide emergency response preparedness training and drills for bulk inland and marine fueling terminals
  • Manage and lead various environmental consultants
  • Provide environmental support to site personnel for a large-scale construction project, and continued support through operations of the newly constructed facility
  • Prepares sites for federal, state, and local regulatory inspections
  • Manage remediation activities
  • Hazardous and non-hazardous waste management
  • Discharge monitoring report preparation
  • Emergency spill response management
  • Maintain environmental databases
  • Assist with new build or acquisition due diligence activities, including phase I & phase II
  • Schedule regulatory testing, including stack testing and API-653 inspections
  • Obtain air, NPDES, and stormwater regulatory permits as needed for new projects or ventures
  • Other duties assigned as needed
