Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or related field
  • Six or more years of experience in global logistics or international freight operations with at least three years in leadership or ownership role
  • Proficient understanding of ocean freight operations, incoterms, customs processes, and HTS classification
  • Experience in vendor management and accountability
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite preferred
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Willingness to work hybrid at least four days a week in Denver office

Job Duties

  • Own and manage all international freight operations primarily ocean, with some air as needed including booking, tracking, exception management, and performance evaluation
  • Serve as primary point of contact for freight forwarders, ocean carriers, and customs brokers ensuring seamless execution and accountability
  • Lead customs compliance strategy including accurate HTS code assignment, document preparation, and alignment with regulatory requirements
  • Analyze landed cost drivers such as duties, freight, and accessorials and partner with Finance and Sourcing to forecast, control, and report impact to margins and budgets
  • Maintain and optimize a comprehensive freight and duties dashboard tracking container ETAs, delivery timelines, and spend trends
  • Identify and resolve shipment delays, exceptions, and demurrage risks proactively leveraging data and partner relationships
  • Evaluate freight and customs service providers regularly for performance, reliability, and cost competitiveness and lead RFQs and contract negotiations as needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Sourcing, and Planning to align logistics timelines with production and fulfillment calendars
  • Stay current on U.S. import regulations, tariffs, and global trade changes impacting cost or compliance
  • Lead and contribute to strategic logistics projects such as digital tracking tools, documentation automation, and process improvement initiatives
