The role of B2B Events Manager at IHG is a strategic and impactful position within the Global Sales Operations & Enablement team. This role transcends traditional event logistics and focuses on planning and executing high-impact B2B events that foster lasting customer relationships, enhance brand affinity, and provide a deep connection to the IHG brand portfolio. Unlike roles with a purely operational focus, the B2B Events Manager is tasked with creating events that serve clear commercial purposes—reflecting IHG's values and telling compelling brand stories tailored to specific customer audiences.
Day-to-day responsibilities include designing event experiences with strong commercial intent and customer alignment, developing creative event concepts, managing comprehensive event briefs, coordinating with stakeholders and sales leaders, and leading end-to-end event execution. This encompasses venue selection, event design, registration, accommodations, and transportation, as well as overseeing vendor negotiations and contract management. The role requires ownership of event budgets, financial reconciliation, and compliance with IHG’s policies and regulatory standards.
The B2B Events Manager also serves as a subject matter expert and key liaison for event partners and stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and technical execution. Managing IHG’s presence at major tradeshows, coordinating speaker needs, and driving continuous improvement through measurement of event success metrics are integral aspects of this position. The ideal candidate possesses substantial experience in B2B event management with a focus on relationship-building, excellent project management skills, and a proven ability to navigate complex vendor relationships under pressure.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $90,000, eligibility for bonus pay, and comprehensive benefits. The role supports remote work within the United States or a hybrid model for local candidates in Atlanta, reflecting IHG's commitment to flexibility and employee wellbeing. Candidates with a proactive, detail-oriented approach and a passion for delivering exceptional brand experiences will thrive in this strategic leadership opportunity that combines creativity with commercial acumen on a global scale.
