Job Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in transportation industry
  • 5 years supervisory or managerial experience desired
  • eligible to work in the United States
  • periodic travel up to 25 percent
  • ability to maintain stable performance under pressure
  • excellent communication and leadership skills
  • ability to read, interpret, and comply with rules and procedures
  • must comply with company security procedures
  • able to work full-time
  • supervisor experience managing 6-10 employees
  • no license or certification required

  • Ability to identify issues, requirements, and opportunities in customer service
  • manage financial aspects of a designated station
  • experience managing external service providers including airline, cartage, truckload, and linehaul
  • in-depth knowledge of all products and services

  • demonstrated team leadership and participative management skills including conflict resolution
  • ability to read, interpret and comply with safety rules and operational procedures

Job Duties

  • Accountable for maintaining profitable, cost-efficient operations
  • guiding and supporting all sales efforts and compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines
  • identify business opportunities and generate profitable sales in new and existing accounts
  • lead, direct, and manage site operations to ensure maximum profitability and customer service
  • assist in development and implementation of sales plans
  • build strategic relationships with key customer contacts
  • capitalize on value creation opportunities with sales and operations teams
  • manage station and company resources to facilitate quality and efficiency
  • establish and maintain positive customer relations and manage daily issue resolution
  • continuously improve processes for excellent customer relations
  • ensure appropriate mix of multimode providers and compliance with external service partners
  • review and adjust station P&L performance
  • cross sell company products and services
  • monitor customer sales activity and adjust strategies
  • facilitate regular meetings with clients and operations staff
  • collaborate with staff at multiple locations
  • ensure safe and timely freight expediting and professional work environment
  • compliance with C-TPAT and TSA security procedures
  • perform other duties as assigned
