Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Operations, or related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in airline fueling operations, winter operations management, or related airport operations role
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role managing fueling or deicing programs
- In-depth knowledge of fueling systems, fuel quality control, and winter operations procedures
- Ability to travel up to 40% and work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require

Job Duties
- Serve as the company’s subject matter expert for all fueling activities, ensuring compliance with FAA, EPA, OSHA, and industry standards
- Oversee fueling vendor relationships, performance, and contractual compliance at all stations
- Monitor fueling operations to ensure adherence to quality control standards, fuel testing protocols, and safety procedures
- Develop and maintain fueling manuals, SOPs, and training programs for station and vendor personnel
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Flight Operations on fuel-related operational requirements, uplift accuracy, and contamination prevention
- Lead Avelo’s winter operations readiness program, including deicing, anti-icing, and snow/ice removal coordination
- Establish winter weather contingency plans for all affected stations, ensuring operational continuity
- Oversee vendor performance in deicing and winter support activities, ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and operational requirements
- Conduct post-event reviews to identify lessons learned and improve winter operations procedures
- Partner with Airport Operations and OCC to manage winter weather events in real time, mitigating delays and operational disruptions
- Negotiate and manage fueling and winter operations vendor contracts in partnership with Airline Sourcing
- Monitor vendor KPIs, conduct audits, and enforce corrective actions as needed
- Build strong relationships with airport authorities, service providers, and fuel suppliers
- Ensure compliance with FAA Part 139, IATA Fuel Quality Pool (IFQP) requirements, and other applicable regulations
- Conduct periodic audits of fueling and deicing operations to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards
- Serve as the point of contact for fuel-related incidents, environmental compliance issues, and winter operations safety events
- Implement process improvements to reduce fueling turnaround times and enhance efficiency
- Evaluate emerging fueling and deicing technologies, recommending adoption where appropriate
- Provide technical guidance and support for new station openings, including fueling and winter operations readiness
