Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, event management, communications, business, or similar major preferred
  • minimum 2 years of relevant event management experience
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • proficiency in event booking software
  • ability to supervise staff
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • ability to interact effectively with clients and staff at all levels

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, event management, communications, business, or related field preferred
  • minimum of 2 years of event management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • CAD experience preferred
  • ability to effectively supervise staff
  • proficiency in event booking and management software such as Venue Ops and Social Tables
  • skilled in creating and implementing standard operating procedures
  • strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • ability to work with minimal supervision and interact with all levels of staff and clients

Job Duties

  • Pre-event and onsite communication
  • establish staff schedules, task assignments, and equipment allocation
  • work closely with departments and client groups to define event goals and implementation plans
  • maintain a calendar of events and database for long-term planning
  • serve as a liaison and client representative for assigned events
  • coordinate event schedules with security and staffing companies
  • create and maintain event files and distribute event memos
  • implement standard operating procedures for event coordination and communication
  • review and report financial details related to events
  • ensure adherence to safety and brand policies
  • set expectations for guest services and building security
  • manage event booking and diagramming software
  • build strong client relationships and support sales efforts
  • conduct facility tours for prospective clients
  • provide general event support for public ticketed events
  • work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
