Job Description
Relay is a cutting-edge technology company dedicated to transforming the physical economy by providing an intelligent system of action tailored specifically for the deskless workforce. While the digital revolution has left behind a significant portion of frontline workers, Relay bridges this gap by converting analog frontline operations into a sophisticated, data-rich, and AI-powered ecosystem. This transformation fosters improved efficiency, communication, and operational insight for those who make up 80 percent of the global workforce that does not operate at a desk. Established as a hyper-growth enterprise, Relay has earned a spot among prestigious rankings such as the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 (#175) and the Inc. 5000 (#920), signaling its rapid expansion and industry impact. Trusted by over 10 percent of the Fortune 500 companies and several Fortune 100 firms, Relay is a proven winner in delivering innovative, high-value solutions across various market segments.
The company is rooted in a culture that prioritizes employee well-being, offering a vibrant campus environment located in Raleigh, complete with a fitness center, sports courts, and comprehensive health insurance coverage paid fully by the employer. The collaborative and dedicated team at Relay is focused on creating the 'Best Work In My Life' (BWIML) experience, emphasizing learning, impact, and teamwork to empower its employees to thrive professionally and personally.
The role available is for a Manager of Event Marketing who will spearhead Relay's tradeshow and event strategies, crafting immersive and experiential brand presences that transcend typical trade show booths. This strategic position is integral to translating complex product value propositions into engaging physical environments that captivate prospects and facilitate account-based selling efforts to penetrate new markets and attract high-value clients. The Manager will oversee an extensive tradeshow ecosystem across ten distinct market segments, ensuring a cohesive and impactful presence that drives measurable funnel acceleration and solidifies market authority. This position demands strategic leadership, budget management, collaboration with product marketing, and mentorship capabilities.
The chosen candidate will play a vital role in shaping and executing Relay's physical brand presence through innovative booth programming, strategic event planning, and execution of high-touch Account-Based Marketing (ABM) activations that drive both new customer acquisition and expansion within existing accounts. Monitoring and analyzing show performance, delivering detailed post-event insights, and maintaining operational excellence in coordination with marketing, sales, and finance teams are core components of the role.
Ideal candidates will bring 3-5 years of event marketing experience within the B2B SaaS space, demonstrate a track record managing large budgets, and possess an analytical mindset to assess event impact critically. Familiarity with sales pipeline dynamics, ABM strategies, project management platforms like Asana, and CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce are essential. The role requires travel of approximately 30% to key industry events to maintain strong market presence and outreach.
Joining Relay means becoming part of an innovative, fast-paced environment where technology meets frontline workforce transformation. The company offers generous benefits, supported personal and professional growth, and a chance to contribute to a larger mission that redefines how the global workforce connects and operates.
