Job Description

Relay is a pioneering technology company transforming the physical economy by bridging the gap between digital innovations and the deskless workforce. As the Intelligent System of Action for frontline operations, Relay focuses on converting conventional analog processes into a data-rich, AI-powered ecosystem that empowers over 80% of the global workforce who do not work at desks. The company has established itself as a reliable partner to numerous Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 companies, demonstrating its significant market impact. Recently, Relay achieved recognition as #175 on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 and #920 on the Inc. 5000, highlighting its rapid growth and innovation capabilities.

Joining Relay means becoming part of a hyper-growth, market-leading enterprise that invests heavily in value creation and technology innovation. It offers a unique workspace on its amenity-rich Raleigh campus, equipped with fitness centers and sports courts, alongside comprehensive health benefits and a culture dedicated to ensuring the "Best Work In My Life" (BWIML) for its employees. The firm values teamwork, impact, and continuous learning, fostering a vibrant environment where passionate individuals can thrive and contribute to shaping the future of frontline work.

The role of Manager of Event Marketing at Relay is a high-impact position designed for a strategic leader with a flair for creating immersive and experiential brand presences. This role goes beyond traditional tradeshow responsibilities; it involves spearheading a comprehensive tradeshow strategy that aligns with the company’s account-based selling efforts and market segmentation. The ideal candidate will manage and curate Relay’s annual tradeshow calendar across ten distinct market segments, ensuring that every event reinforces Relay’s market authority and accelerates sales funnel metrics.

The Manager of Event Marketing will work closely with Product Marketing to develop experiential booth programming that offers prospects tangible, engaging interactions with Relay’s product offerings, creating immediate and memorable "aha" moments. This position is also responsible for overseeing the tradeshow budget, ensuring that all expenditures, including booth designs, swag, and travel, generate measurable returns on investment. Managing and mentoring an Event Marketing Specialist, coordinating with accounting for budget reconciliation, and supporting broader field marketing initiatives such as Customer Advisory Summits and Executive Briefing Center events are core components of the role.

Additionally, the role includes executing Account-Based Marketing (ABM) activations like brand-hosted parties and luxury suite events to deepen relationships within existing accounts. Success in the position requires proactive performance analysis through both quantitative and qualitative data, with a focus on generating actionable insights to influence future marketing investments and product positioning. This is an opportunity for a motivated and ambitious professional to lead one of the company’s most visible and strategic marketing channels at a time of exciting growth and innovation.
