Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
FAA Aircraft Dispatcher certificate or ATC Certification
Five years experience in air traffic management or as an Aircraft Dispatcher
Knowledge of Federal and International air traffic organizations
Knowledge of System Operations Center functions
Knowledge of cockpit workload and tasks
Available for regular overnight travel (25%)
Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies on short notice
Must pass pre-employment drug test
Must be legally eligible to work in the US
No visa sponsorship available
Must maintain professional appearance
Willingness to assist with light aircraft cleaning when possible
Adherence to JetBlue safety management and regulatory requirements
Must not use automated tools during interview process

Job Qualifications

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
FAA Aircraft Dispatcher certificate or ATC Certification
Minimum five years experience in air traffic management or as an Aircraft Dispatcher
Knowledge of the structure and function of Federal and International air traffic organizations including FAA tools and technologies and air traffic system configuration
Familiarity with System Operations Center (SOC) functions
Understanding of cockpit tasks and workload
Ability to work flexible hours and emergency response duties
Legal authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship
Commitment to JetBlue's safety and organizational culture
Preferred bachelor's degree in Business or Aviation-related field
Experience in a Part 121 airline environment
Extensive experience in Airline System Operations Center (SOC)
Leadership experience
Management experience in air traffic control and traffic flow management operations

Job Duties

Engage and maintain relations with the FAA, foreign Air Navigation Service Providers, and other airlines to achieve optimum air traffic performance for JetBlue
Regularly monitor Air Traffic Management operational conditions for delay mitigation and increased airport efficiency
Participate in Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) efforts with the objective of delay avoidance and mitigation
Utilize traffic management tools and procedures such as Traffic Flow Management System (TFMS), SlickOR, Flight Schedule Monitor (FSM), Trajectory Options Set (TOS), Pathfinder, and North American Route Program (NRP)/Free Routing
Collaborate with Airports, Network, Ops Engineering, Dispatch, and Airport Authorities to manage events affecting airport throughput such as construction, air shows, and major events
Coordinate with FAA and National Airspace System operators to protect JetBlue interests in management of special use airspace and commercial space launches
Develop crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement
