Job Description

We are a high-volume sports bar and grill known as a beloved neighborhood destination where families and individuals come together to celebrate special occasions, enjoy the game, or simply have lunch or dinner. With over 100 TVs broadcasting all major sporting events, our vibrant atmosphere ensures that there is never a dull moment in our bar. We are currently seeking an efficient and adaptable Restaurant Manager to oversee the operations of our high-volume, full-service bar and grill. This leadership position entails full accountability for the financial and operational performance of the establishment. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for building, coaching, managing, and developing the team, including all aspects of staffing such as interviewing, hiring, and training. In addition to these duties, the Manager must ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing the restaurant industry.

An ideal candidate will possess outstanding team leadership qualities and exemplary customer service skills. Integrity and accountability at the managerial level are essential values for this role. The Restaurant Manager will act as the central figure in motivating and directing the service team to ensure every guest enjoys their experience to the fullest. Job Requirements

  • Education and/or previous experience in restaurant management or related field
  • Proven leadership abilities in a high-volume restaurant environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial reports
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in the food service industry
  • Capability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficiency in staff recruitment, training, and development

Job Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of front and back of house operations including food, beverages, staff supervision, inventory, and food safety
  • Strong understanding of cost and labor systems that lead to restaurant profitability
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Comfort working with budgets, payroll, revenue, and forecasting
  • Ability to lead big groups of people

Job Duties

  • Establishes restaurant business plans by surveying restaurant demand
  • Meets restaurant financial objectives by developing finances
  • Attracts patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising, and public and community programs
  • Controls purchases and inventory by meeting with the account manager
  • Maintains operations by following standard operating procedures, aiming for consistent productivity and quality
  • Maintains patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food and beverage service offerings
  • Accomplishes restaurant and bar human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy facility by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the restaurant industry
  • Accomplishes company goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
