At Applebee's, employees find more than just a job—they find opportunities to grow professionally and personally. The company fosters an environment where work-life balance is prioritized, and associates have access to an extensive range of benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance. Paid vacation and competitive pay are standard offerings, along with flexible scheduling to accommodate various lifestyles. Advancement opportunities are real and attainable, with a clear path for employees who demonstrate leadership, dedication, and a commitment to the brand and its values.
The role of a manager at Applebee's is critical to the success and smooth operation of the restaurant. Managers play an active part in all day-to-day operations, from building strong guest relationships to ensuring community involvement remains vibrant. This leadership position encompasses meeting sales and profit goals while maintaining the store’s overall standards. The manager is known as the "Keeper of the Brand," responsible for promoting Applebee's high standards in every detail of daily operations. This includes overseeing staff, managing inventory, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and setting the tone and culture for the entire team.
This role requires a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who can manage stress effectively while serving as a role model for staff. Managers at Applebee's must be proactive problem solvers who are ready to take initiative and lead by example. The position requires standing and active mobility for up to 12 hours, including lifting up to 50 pounds, reflecting the physically demanding nature of restaurant management. Additionally, the role requires certifications related to responsible alcohol service and food safety, adhering strictly to state regulations.
