The Restaurant Manager role at Jack in the Box is pivotal to the success of the individual restaurant location. This role oversees the entire restaurant operations and leads a team of employees dedicated to delivering an exceptional "WOW" guest experience. The manager ensures that customers consistently receive quality food, outstanding service, and enjoy a clean and safe dining environment. Beyond daily operational duties, this position plays a strategic role in building restaurant sales and profitability by analyzing performance, identifying trends, and implementing action plans. The Restaurant Manager must exemplify a "guest comes first" attitude, physically engaging with guests and staff to foster a positive atmosphere throughout the dining experience. Training, coaching, and motivating staff are key responsibilities to maintain high-performance standards aligned with Jack in the Box policies and procedures. The manager is also tasked with recruiting, developing internal talent, and managing employee performance through evaluations and feedback. Compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies forms an essential part of this role. Furthermore, the Restaurant Manager must handle guest concerns with professionalism and ensure timely resolutions that uphold Jack in the Box's reputable brand image. This is a dynamic, hands-on position requiring a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Availability to work during high-traffic periods, including holidays and weekends, is mandatory to support the restaurant’s operational needs and to drive customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to stand and walk approximately 90 to 95 percent of shift

Job Qualifications

  • Internal promote preferred having experience as a team member, team leader, or assistant manager
  • high school diploma or equivalency
  • minimum of 1 year as a JIB assistant manager or similar experience
  • 100 percent certified in all workstations
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • self-starter with initiative and responsibility
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent
  • ability to perform and understand basic math
  • proven analytical skills
  • good organization and planning skills
  • valid driver’s license and insurance
  • ability to work a minimum of 45 hours per week especially on weekends and holidays
