Job Duties

  • Manages restaurant environment to ensure prompt, friendly service according to company guidelines
  • Directs overall activities and performance of associates on a shift-by-shift basis
  • Breeds a culture using the Apple Gilroy Mission Statement to guide teamwork, results, integrity, passion for service, fun, innovation and being guest driven
  • Ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints and refers written complaints to GM
  • Ensures 100% table visitation as a priority
  • Enforces alcohol awareness on a shift-to-shift basis
  • Maintains adequate departmental inventory levels
  • Ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards uncompromisingly
  • Schedules associates effectively to meet sales demands
  • Maintains safety and security programs according to company policy and government standards
  • Corrects unsafe practices or conditions
  • Promotes restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
  • Performs routine maintenance and informs GM of needed repairs
  • Communicates with other managers daily
  • Completes other assigned duties and responsibilities
  • Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential management candidates
  • Promotes training procedures for new managers
  • Maintains a trained staff through orientation, training sessions, and implementation of company policy
  • Determines job assignments on shifts

  • Provides candid, fair feedback and works on associate development
  • Conducts Selecting Service Performers interviews
  • Demonstrates training systems and emphasizes training importance
  • Monitors acceptable associate performance and manages discipline when appropriate
  • Assures compliance with company policies
  • Acts as coach to associates
  • Controls costs in assigned department
  • Maintains and controls company assets
  • Ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws
  • Reports progress at management meetings
  • Complies with cash handling procedures
  • Executes weekly food and liquor inventories at GM's request
  • Prepares accurate daily paperwork for GM
