Job Requirements
- 2-3 years of management experience in the restaurant, entertainment or hospitality industry
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Responsible alcohol service and food safety certifications as required
- Kitchen managers must have current alcohol and food certification that meets state requirements
- Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 12 hours
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds
- Willingness to comply with company policies
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Availability to work flexible schedules
- Capability to handle guest complaints professionally and promptly
- Commitment to safety and sanitation practices
- Authorization to work legally in the country

Job Duties
- Manages restaurant environment ensuring prompt, friendly service
- Directs overall activities and performance of associates on a shift basis
- Breeds a culture guided by Apple Gilroy Mission Statement including teamwork, results, integrity, passion for service, fun, innovation and being guest driven
- Responds and corrects all verbal guest complaints and refers to General Manager as needed
- Ensures 100% table visitation as a priority
- Enforces alcohol awareness and safety practices
- Maintains adequate departmental inventory levels
- Ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards
- Effectively schedules associates to meet sales demands
- Maintains safety and security programs
- Corrects unsafe practices or conditions
- Promotes cleanliness and sanitation
- Performs routine maintenance and reports repairs
- Advises General Manager of non-routine situations
- Communicates with other managers through logs and meetings
- Completes all assigned duties and responsibilities
- Promotes quality recruitment and referrals for management candidates
- Supports new manager training and associates through orientation and individual training sessions
- Determines job assignments shift-by-shift
- Develops associate performance through reviews and evaluations
- Conducts Selecting Service Performer interviews
- Monitors and manages disciplinary actions
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures
- Acts as a coach to associates
- Controls costs within assigned department
- Maintains and controls company assets
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Reports progress towards performance objectives
- Complies with cash handling procedures
- Conducts weekly food and liquor inventories as requested
- Prepares and submits daily paperwork to General Manager
- Develops assistant managers and key hourly associates
- Inspires team cooperation and guest focus
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills
- Completes all assignments on schedule
