Job Description
AquaVie Fitness & Wellness Club is a luxury full-service spa and modern fitness club dedicated to promoting overall wellbeing and a healthy lifestyle. The Spa Attendant/Housekeeper role at AquaVie Fitness & Wellness Club is critical in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall upkeep of the spa and fitness areas, ensuring a pristine and inviting environment for all guests. This position involves detailed cleaning and sanitizing duties focused on the spa's men's restrooms, locker rooms, public spaces, and treatment areas such as showers, sauna, and steam rooms. The Spa Attendant/Housekeeper is responsible for replenishing inventories, keeping high standards of health and sanitation, and assisting with resetting the gym after each shift to maintain operational efficiency and cleanliness. Reporting to the Director of AquaVie Fitness & Spa and the Fitness & Spa Manager, this role is classified as non-exempt and offers an hourly wage starting at $19.00.
This role is not just about general housekeeping; it requires adherence to specific health and safety guidelines, including proper chemical handling protocols and awareness of bloodborne pathogen protections. The Spa Attendant/Housekeeper must be observant of maintenance issues, reporting any concerns promptly to supervisors to maintain the facility’s optimal functionality. The position requires physical activity such as lifting up to 30 pounds, bending, stretching, standing, and walking for the duration of each shift, reflecting the active nature of the work environment.

Job Requirements
- Lift up to thirty (30) pounds, unassisted
- Bending, stretching, standing, walking and use of stairs for duration of shift
Job Qualifications
- Familiar with housekeeping including sanitation, laundry operations, and guest service
- Available to work weekends and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- Restock inventory in AquaVie areas as needed
- Maintain and clean AquaVie Fitness & Spa public areas complying with health & sanitation guidelines
- Maintain and clean AquaVie Fitness & Spa male restrooms & locker rooms complying with health & sanitation guidelines
- Maintain and clean AquaVie Fitness & Spa male showers, sauna, steam room, spa treatment rooms
- Ensure internal windows and doorways are free of fingerprints and smudges
- Ensure furniture, staircases and hard surfaces in AquaVie Fitness & Spa public spaces are clean and organized
- Require AquaVie Fitness & Club public space floors are free of debris
- Sanitize all workout equipment according to AquaVie Fitness & Club protocols
- Report any maintenance issue to supervisors
- Empty all waste receptacles in AquaVie Fitness & Spa public spaces
- Follow procedures concerning protection against blood borne pathogens
- Utilize chemicals according to directions and familiarize self with all MSDS
- Immediately report any areas of concerns to management such as leaks, malfunctioning fixtures and equipment, slow drainage, any mold or infestations
- Aid in resetting the gym at the end of every shift including all weight plates picked up and organized, equipment wiped down, floors mopped, cardio machines reset, towels restocked, wet wipes restocked
- Assist in other duties as requested by supervisor
